Hatha Yoga with Anna:
The focus in Anna's Hatha yoga class is to work on actions (strength, flexibility, and/or balance) of poses themselves rather than a flow from pose to pose. They're not necessarliy .linked together with breath based movements as in vinyasa flow. Action(s) of pose(s) are explored and practiced with emphasis on customized alignment that is appropriate for each student. Breathwork and calming poses are practiced at the end of class to balance the mind and body.
Kidz Yoga with Miriam:
The Yoga Loft Kids Class is a playful and creative way to experience the benefits of yoga. Music and movement guide children, ages 5 – 12, through poses that are similar to adult poses but adapted for growing bodies. Kidz Yoga gain health, happiness, and a greater sense of self in a safe and friendly environment.
Stretch, Pause, and Relax with Pooja:
This class is open to both beginners and the more experienced. Each class is individually sequenced by the teacher, adapting to the needs of the class. The class will be at a pace that awakens us to the presence of the moment by building strength, balance and flexibility of both mind and body. Walk in to enjoy this slow paced yoga, as all we do is Stretch, Pause and Relax and Repeat... only to roll our mat feeling lighter, energized, refocused and ready for the rest of our day.
Strong Bones, Healthy Back with Anna:
Purposeful use of yoga poses for bone health and healthy back. This is a wellness class to prevent, halt, or reverse osteopenia and osteoporosis. Back pain due to poor posture and muscular tension and imbalances will also be covered.
Vinyasa Yoga All Levels with Sharon:
Great class for practitioners at all levels. Vinyasa yoga is a series of poses that will move you through the power of inhaling and exhaling. Vinyasa movements are smoothly flowing and almost dance-like, which explains why it is sometimes referred to as Vinyasa Flow or just Flow.
Yin Yoga with Anna:
Yin Yoga focuses on lengthening the connective tissues and allowing gravity to do the work. This practice is still and quiet —little talking, soft or no music. It invites deep inner listening and inspires the cultivation of vitality in the body, stillness in the mind, and nourishment for the soul. It is mainly practiced on the floor and each pose is held for a longer period, usually three to five minutes.
